Mavericks Face Elimination In Game 5 Of Nba Finals

Mavericks Face Elimination in Game 5 of NBA Finals

Can Dallas Force a Game 6 or Will Boston Close it Out?

The series shifts back to Boston with the Celtics holding a 3-1 advantage.

The Dallas Mavericks are on the brink of elimination after falling 122-84 to the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday night. The 38-point margin was the third-biggest ever in an NBA Finals game.

No team has ever come back to win an NBA playoff series after losing the first three games. The Mavericks are 0-156 in those situations.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have led the way for the Celtics in the series, with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving doing their best to keep the Mavericks in it. In Game 4, it was all Tatum and Brown, who combined for 58 points while Doncic and Irving were held to just 21 points combined.

The Mavericks will need to find a way to get more production from their two stars if they want to force a Game 6. They will also need to find a way to slow down Tatum and Brown, who have been unstoppable in the series.

Game 5 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for Sunday night in Boston. The Celtics will be looking to close out the series and win their 18th NBA championship. The Mavericks will be looking to stay alive and force a Game 6.
